Field Type Description & Use Case
Textbox Single or multi-line text entry for open-ended responses. Ideal for names, descriptions, comments, or any free-form text input.
Number Numeric input field for collecting measurements, quantities, distances, or any numerical data. Ensures only valid numbers can be entered.
Dropdown Single-select list where users choose one option from a predefined list. Ideal for categories, status selections, or standardized responses.
Radio Button Single-select option presented as visible buttons. Users select one choice from multiple options. Best for 2-5 mutually exclusive choices.
Single Checkbox Yes/no or true/false input. Used for confirmations, acknowledgements, or binary choices (e.g., "Item inspected," "Safety gear worn").
Multiple Checkbox Multi-select checkboxes allowing users to select multiple options from a list. Ideal for safety checks, equipment lists, or features present.
Date Picker Calendar-based date selection tool. Used for recording inspection dates, service due dates, incident dates, or any date-based information.
Images Photo upload field allowing users to attach images as documentation. Essential for visual evidence, damage reports, site photos, or equipment condition.
Combination Links the form to an asset combination (truck + trailer + dolly configuration). Captures which specific vehicle combination the form relates to.
Assets Dropdown Dropdown list of fleet assets (vehicles, trailers, equipment). Allows users to select which specific asset the form data relates to.
Repeater Dynamic section that allows multiple entries of the same set of fields. Perfect for tabular data like axle weights, multiple items inspected, or repetitive measurements.
GPS and Place Location capture field that records GPS coordinates and/or address information. Used for site locations, incident locations, or delivery addresses.
