💡
With the Fatigue Extension Approval Workflow you can:
- Give drivers a safe, compliant way to request additional work hours when unforeseen circumstances arise
- Allow supervisors to review and approve or deny requests in real time from the web portal
- Keep a complete, auditable record of every fatigue extension decision for NHVR compliance
- Communicate decisions back to drivers instantly through the mobile app

Overview
This guide walks through the full Fatigue Extension Approval Workflow from start to finish:
- Driver submits a fatigue extension request from the mobile app by creating an incident report
- Supervisor receives an email notification, reviews the request from the incident detail page, and submits an approve or deny response
- Driver receives the decision and continues (or ends) their shift on the mobile app
- How expired requests are handled when no decision is made before end of shift
Prerequisites
- The driver must be on an active shift in the Hubfleet mobile app
- The supervisor must have an Admin or Owner role in the Hubfleet web portal
- The driver's organisation must be operating under a fatigue management scheme that permits extensions (AFM/BFM)
