With Hubfleet's Hazard Register you can:
- Capture every hazard with type, location, description and immediate containment
- Risk-rate hazards consistently using your 5×5 matrix
- Link each hazard to controls from the Risk Controls Library
- Add improvement actions and track them through to closure

The Hazard Register is the proactive arm of your SMS — it's where you identify, assess, control and close out the operation-specific risks your fleet faces. It works hand-in-hand with Reporting Hazards from the Field — the mobile workflow drivers use to flag hazards they spot — and feeds into incidents and NCRs whenever control gaps are exposed. This is Step 2 C of your Safety Management System (Preview) setup — complete it once your Risk Controls Library (Step 2 A) is in place.
How the Hazard Register fits into the SMS
The Hazard Register sits in the middle of the bow-tie:
- Hazards are what could go wrong — specific to your operation
- Controls from the Risk Controls Library are what stops them
- Improvement actions are what you do when current controls aren't enough
- Incidents, NCRs and field-reported hazards feed back in — every event is a chance to re-rate
This means the Hazard Register is never "done". It's the live picture of risk in your operation, refreshed as you learn.

ℹ️
Where things live in Hubfleet: hazards are managed under Safety → Hazards. The Risk Controls Library is under Safety → Risk Controls. Improvement actions flow into the Actions Register under Safety → Actions.

- A risk rating (severity × likelihood) from the 5×5 matrix
- Links to existing controls in the Risk Controls Library
- Improvement actions where residual risk is still too high
- A re-rating and closure once actions complete
